Baildon Tree Partnership has held its first tree planting event. 25 saplings were planted alongside the River Aire near Higher Coach Road in Baildon. At least 40 volunteers came along to help and after a tree planting demonstration everyone got involved and the trees were quickly planted . Tree Planting Scheme Launch Event

Please see the attached poster for details of a launch event for the Tree Planting Scheme to be held on Saturday 18 January at the St Hugh's Centre 2pm to 4pm. Come along to find out more about the scheme, free refreshments are available and there are crafts for the children (small charge for the bird box).

The first tree to be planted by the new Baildon Tree Planting Partnership was planted on 27 November on land at the corner of Green Lane and Thompson Lane. Bradford Councillor Vick Jenkins was invited to plant the tree with children from Glenaire Primary School.
