Due to the resignation of Councillor Mathew Ward, a vacancy has arisen in the South East Ward of Baildon Town Council. The vacancy notice will be displayed from the 5th to the 25th of April and an electronic version can be found attached to this news item.

On Sunday 25th March the annual Easter Egg run organised by Shipley Harley Davidson Club left from Baildon in convoy to deliver Easter Eggs to the Children's Ward at BRI and then to Riding for the Disabled based near Haworth.
Over 40 bikes met in the Village, with riders coming from all over Yorkshire, to deliver hundreds of eggs to both groups of children.

Due to the poor weather forecast this weekend, all of the Litter Free Baildon events have been cancelled. We hope that more events will take place when the snow has dissappeared.

Bracken Hall Countryside Centre will be closed this weekend (3rd and 4th March) due to the adverse weather. We will hopefully be open as normal from March 10th for the rest of our Science Month.

Given the prevailing weather conditions and the forecast for the next few days it has been decided to postpone this weekend's litter picks,which tied in with the national Keep Britain Tidy campaign. These will now be held on the 17th & 18th of March.

UPDATE - We have now stopped accepting requests due to the demand exceeding the number of grit bins we are able to supply.

UPDATE - Due to the continuing weather, the office will remain closed this week. Normal service shall be resumed on Monday the 5th of March.
The Baildon Town Council Office will be closed on Tuesday the 27th of February and Wednesday 28th of February due to the inclement weather.

Baildon Town Council is looking to add to its office team by recruiting an Administrative Assistant for 15 hours per week.
-12 months fixed term contract (which could be extended subject to funding).
-15 hours per week split over three 5 hour days (Tues - Thurs) Some flexibility will be required around these days.

A working group has been formed by local Councillors to discuss a Design Statement for Baildon. They are meeting on Wednesday night at Baildon Community Link at 7.30pm. All members of the public are welcome to attend.
