Baildon Library reopened on Tuesday 1 September with Siobhan and Linda from Bradford Libraries welcoming visitors back. This morning our wonderful volunteers joined them for all future opening sessions in the library.

Baildon Town Council will be re-opening the pubic toilets on Northgate on Friday the 17th of July. The toilets have been closed since the 23rd of March, due to the Government lockdown. The toilets will be open from 10.30am to 4.30pm everyday, and we would ask all users to wear a face covering or mask and observe social distancing when inside. Baildon Town Council have been informed by Danny Jackson, the Countryside and Rights of Way Manager of Bradford Council that the decision was taken yesterday to temporarily close to traffic Glen Road at Baildon and the Ilkley/Keighley Road over Rombalds Moors.
This was considered and approved by the Council's Gold command as a response to continued parking along these roads - presumably for countryside... Read More »

For the last few weeks, Baildon Town Councillors and staff, Baildon Ward Councillors, Baildon Ward Officers, Baildon community development officers and staff from Baildon Community Link to name a few, have been working together with Bradford Council to create a local hub, to support the community throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

Yesterday, 19 March 2020, Baildon Town Council's Governance Committee met to agree business continuity and contingency arrangements for the Town Council during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The Town Council acknowledges the seriousness of the situation, including the unprecedented advice to cease all non-essential physical contact and for more vulnerable people to self-isolate.

Baildon Town Council can confirm that Baildon Library will remain open in the Ian Clough Hall building after the 31st of March 2020. However, efforts are on-going by both Bradford Council and Baildon Town Council, to find a suitable alternative for the library service. The ground floor, of the Ian Clough Building, will still be closing on the 31st of March 2020.

Staff, councillors and volunteers at Bradford Council and Baildon Town Council are gearing up for another storm on its way to the district at the same time as clearing up after the last one.
Many areas were affected by Storm Ciara last week flooding properties, causing surface water, fallen trees, damaged roads and rivers to overflow banks.
