Cultural cohesion funds and small grants pot for BD2025 to dress Bradford

Bradford Council's Neighbourhoods and Communities Service has teamed up with BD25 to work with communities to help get creative and also dress the District to celebrate a year of culture. We are excited to announce the launch of two exciting funds to help celebrate Bradford City of Culture to get local groups and people involved. £20,000 per area, a total of £100,000, is up for grabs in small grants of £500 across Bradford District through the Area Committees and Area Co-ordinators' Offices.

The closing date is Friday 21 February 2025, 12 noon.

Culture is Cohesion Fund

• Funding is available to support cultural projects that promote community cohesion across the District.
• The funding has a focus on creating long lasting positive memories, involving local arts, heritage and creative activities, volunteering and social action projects.
• We are particularly encouraging projects that will encourage multi-generational activity and projects that build bridges between different communities and neighbourhoods.
• We are offering small grants of up to £500 that will support activity to take place from the 1st July 2025 to 31st July 2025.
• Projects have to show community and resident involvement/leadership.
• This timescale is to enable successful projects to take part in a bigger cohesion extravaganza at the end of July 2025. Along the way there will be local opportunities - bringing projects together to share fun, happiness and to make memories in this very special year.

Dress it Up Fund

• We are looking to fund ideas to dress places like local gateways, community meeting places, village and town centres, green spaces, high streets – the list is endless!
• People visiting the District should be able to see the vibrancy of our kind, warm and welcoming communities. There are so many places to visit and eat and take in the everyday beauty of our District, and you can make an incredible difference.
• We are offering small grants of up to £500 for projects which have been developed with local communities that will make a real visual IMPACT.
• What could this be? We are open to ideas - you can create a selfie booth, bunting, yarn bombing, creating flower displays, only your imagination can restrict you, the only thing we are asking is that you use the BD25 colours and brand.
