Baildon Town Council have been informed that Bradford Council has now secured the piece of land above the former Baildon Club from Greene King to accommodate the site compound during its entire period of refurbishment.

Securing this piece of land has unfortunately taken slightly more time than hoped and may have delayed the project by a few weeks, however It is hoped that this delay will be offset by the fact that we are now it is hoped avoiding disruption to the public highway on Hallcliffe.

Works by Bradford Council to clear that land and to create a vehicular access from Hall Cliffe will start this week (wk/c 12 December 2022). However, works to the building itself (i.e. asbestos removal and soft strip) will not now start in earnest until the New Year. Bradford Council will write to all residents living on Perseverance Street facing that land this week to inform them of the council's intentions.

It is best to communicate direct with Bradford Council with any queries you have as they are managing this project, not Baildon Town Council. This can be either via your Bradford Councillors or through the Bradford Council Switchboard on 01274 432111
