Baildon Carnival Needs Your Help!
Baildon Carnival is on this weekend and they need your help!
Unfortunately unforeseen circumstances have led to some volunteers having to drop out so if anyone could volunteer to help this Saturday the Baildon Carnival committee would be extremely grateful.
Road closure marshals
Marshals would need to attend a safety briefing at the Copper Beech club at 12.45. This would last approximately 15 minutes. Then they would be at a road closure location from 1.30p.m. to 2.00p.m. Volunteers will be provided with a Hi Viz jacket. You do not need any experience of closing roads.
Field marshals
Organisers need people who can help set up tents and gazebos, and other tasks before the carnival begins. You would need to be on the field for 10.30ish for around an hour. Times can be flexible.Likewise organisers need people who can take down and move things, on the field around 5.30p.m. to 6.30p.m.
They also require need people to do a 1/2 hour shift with their litter pickers to keep the fields clean and tidy. (We are told this is not an arduous task).
Field marshals volunteers are quite thin on the ground at the moment. So a few strong pairs of arms (or willing ones at least) are definitely called for.
