Community Hub and Development Funding
Baildon Town Council introduced an area based approach to Community Development Funding of £40,000 in 2018 for a 3 year period, which sought to ensure that such support was offered in every part of Baildon. In view of the pandemic this was extended a further year to March 2022.
There was a strong emphasis on outreach and community engagement, and the successful providers were asked to ensure that the funds were used to identify those in greatest need and offer support.
The last two years have of course proved enormously difficult for everyone during the pandemic.
Baildon Town Council recognises that community hubs have and continue to be an essential ingredient in providing a supportive community infrastructure across Baildon. It is vital that community hubs work together to support those in need wherever they live.
Accordingly, Baildon Town Council has agreed to promote a new criteria for community development funding from April 2022. Further information about this criteria and how to apply can be found on the attached documents.
Completed funding application forms should be received by the council before 20th January 2022 in order to be presented for decision at the Community Committee on 1st February 2022.
