Local Precept Details for 2021/22 Council Year
For the year 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022, Baildon Town Council has set a local precept (share of the Council Tax) of £48.83 for a Band D property. This is a 0% increase on the precept set in the previous year. Following consideration of the Town Council's financial position, commitments and estimates, councillors agreed that the same level of precept is sufficient to cover the Council's anticipated costs, when taking into consideration other income sources.
The year 2020/21 was unusual in many respects and resulted in numerous under-spends on anticipated expenditure, partially offset by the needs to provide some funding for COVID-19 support. Any under-spends will be used to supplement the Council's reserves. The Council is required to hold a general reserve and can also identify money for specific projects. Residents with questions about the precept should contact the Town Council office but general enquiries about Council Tax will be most easily answered by the Billing Authority, Bradford Council (see: https://www.bradford.gov.uk/counciltax).
