Commemorative Tree Planting

Commemorative Tree Planting

To mark the 10 years of Baildon Town Council's existence several current and former councillors attended a commemorative tree planting in Roberts Park on Thursday 13 December 2018.

Chair of the Town Council, Councillor Peter Ashton, remarked on 'the achievements of the Town Council since its birth and looked forward to the next ten years of public service', before having the honour of adding the first spade of soil to the planting hole.

He also thanked Ian Dobson, Bradford's Heritage and Parks' Officer, for facilitating the planting of the specimen Wedding Cake Tree (Cornus Controversa Variegata) alongside a commemorative plaque on the banked lawn overlooking the cricket pitch.
