To commemorate the centenary of the end of World War 1, Baildon Town Council are pleased to report the completion of a year long project to restore a neglected war memorial in the historic village of Tong Park, Baildon.
The site has had a total makeover, including restored railings, cleaned stonework, restored benches and cut back shrubbery. The project has been undertaken in collaboration with Bradford Council at a cost of £4,000 to Baildon Town Council.

BAILDON PEACE WALK (WW1). Saturday 10 November @ 10.30am
This walk, organised by Baildon Walkers are Welcome, starts from the Peace Garden near Baildon Community Link on Cliffe Avenue for a short walk around Baildon sites with wartime connections to mark the centenary of the end of hostilities of the First World War on November 11 1918. This walk has been arranged in conjunction with the Friends of Bracken Hall. All welcome
"PEACE AT LAST - return to life as normal" Sunday 11 November 12.00 – 2.00pm
Local historian, Dr Kathryn Hughes will help us mark the 100 year anniversary of the ending of World War 1. Pictorial presentation, displays of memorabilia and photos by Tish and Mike Lawson.. Tickets: £5. Wesleys - Baildon Methodist Church. All welcome
