FoDMNR Visible Migration Guided Walk

The Friends of Denso Marston have a Visible Migration Guided Walk on Saturday 13th October, commencing at 7.30 a.m.

The event starts at the public footpath, opposite the lay by near St James Church, Otley Road, Baildon.

This is an opportunity to put binoculars to good use, enjoying and watching our arriving over wintering birds.

A Free Health & Wellbeing Event

Baildon Community Link is delighted to be working in partnership to offer local residents the opportunity to enjoy a Health & Wellbeing event at St James' Church, near the Halfway House on Otley Road, on Tuesday 16th October from 1-3pm. The event will feature free information guides & stress ball, blood pressure checks & a healthy heart talk, laughter yoga, gadget roadshow, BMI checks, and taster exercise sessions. A number of partners will be at the event so you can chat to Carers Resource, Alzheimer's Society, local support groups, and Baildon Community Link's Activity Days staff. Everyone Welcome.

FoDMNR Visible Migration Workshop

The Friends of Denso Marston Nature Reserve have a Visible Migration Workshop on Thursday 18th October at 10 a.m., continuing on Saturday October 20th at 8 a.m.

This event commences in the Reserve Education Centre with access via the public footpath, Otley Road, Baildon, opposite the lay by, near St James Church.

This an opportunity to learn more about the techniques in studying migrating birds.

All are welcome to join us to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the ending of World War 1

Sunday 11 November, 12.00 – 2.00pm, at Wesleys.

Presentation by local historian, Dr Kathryn Hughes

displays by Tish and Mike Lawson

Basic rations lunch included: bread, cheese and apple. Quiz; and poppy-making

Please bring along any WW1 memorabilia that you have at home to display at this event

Tickets: £5 From Wesleys Cafe. Proceeds to the Building Fund to replace the Marley Hut with "The Fold".

Illustrated presentation by Peter Kerr and John Anderson, who both speak Russian, describing the many time they have visited Russia and some of their amazing experiences. Russian pancakes etc in the interval.

Tickets £5 from Wesleys cafe at Baildon Methodist Church. Proceeds for Baildon Methodist Church Big Fund for their new eco-friendly building.
