Hall Cliffe Community Garden

Do you have experience of gardening? Are you available on Thursday mornings?
Hall Cliffe Community Garden was created in 2003 as a recreational space for the people of Baildon and surrounding areas, and is open daily.
Formerly a school playground, the garden has different planting beds in a range of styles - cottage gardens, heather and conifers, a woodland, hot and cool colours, herbs, grasses and a children's area. There is a pergola which provides a shaded meeting place in summer, and several benches throughout the garden for rest and relaxation.
Local events are held in the garden during the year, including Baildon Open Gardens, Baildon Yorkshire Day, Scarecrow Festival, and other musical groups and celebrations.
How can you help?
A working party of volunteers meet every Thursday morning between 9am and 12.30pm for maintenance, redevelopment when required, and coffee!
What skills do I need?
All of the volunteers have experience of gardening, but they all share ideas and learn from one another.
