Baildon Town Council

Co-opted December 2020 - South East Ward

I have been co-opted to Baildon Town Council as I would like to be the voice of my ward, which includes Tong Park and Charlestown. I have been a resident of Baildon for eighteen years and was a teacher in a Baildon Middle School prior to re-organisation. Therefore I feel I know about the community and can represent it to the best of my ability.

I was an advisor for Shipley Citizen's Advice Bureau for ten years so have experience helping others to resolve issues. I volunteer at Baildon library and I am passionate about it as a facility for the town as well as it being a meeting point for local groups and residents. I am a member of Baildon Belles WI and I sing in the local community choir. My role as the neighbourhood watch co-ordinator for my street has enabled me to support my neighbours during this pandemic.

I want to help Baildon to flourish as a town and to enable its residents to feel valued within their community.
