I care about Baildon, its people, facilities and heritage and hope to use my skills and experience to make a positive contribution to our local community. Baildon's strong community identity was a major reason for choosing to live here when my wife and I relocated to be nearer to family.

I have extensive experience of voluntary, community and council work.

This includes serving:

• as a Governor and Chair at Secondary and Primary Schools.
• as an active rail user group member, now with Friends of Baildon Station
• my previous community as a Metropolitan Borough Councillor, Council Leader, Mayor and Passenger Transport Authority representative

My main interests are in transport, education, heritage and the environment.

My career was in University teaching and research in geography and transport. I am now retired but still undertake some transport research.
