Co-opted December 2021 - South West Ward

Hi I'm Leon Oakley, long-time Baildon resident and first-time Councillor.

Both myself and my wife grew up in Baildon and decided this was where we wanted to raise our girls.

I work for a Baildon based company, ACS, as Head of Training and Compliance. As my two main drivers are helping young people to thrive in the workplace and looking after the environment, it was important to me that I joined a company that shared the same values.. Community and environmental issues are at the forefront of our culture at ACS and that in turn means I am able to be part of our dedicated 'Impact Team' that help drive ideas and initiatives – from sourcing ethical products to local community volunteering.

Ultimately, I want to help make Baildon a place our youngsters can learn, work and thrive.
