Full time employment currently with national charity Change Grow Live (CGL) supporting people with multiple and complex needs (mental and physical health, homelessness, criminal justice and substance misuse issues). Fully police vetted and member of the Bradford Reducing Crime and Reoffending Board. Has provided evidence to the Advisory Council on Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) and sat as a co-opted expert for the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) aiding government policy, guidance and potential changes to legislative frameworks. Is an international published academic author, including co-authorships with colleagues from Harvard and Yale Universities and has held 2 separate honorary tiles at Liverpool John Moore's University (LJMU) Public Health Institute (PHI). Educated to Masters level but has personal 'lived experience' too. Is the current Chair of Higher Coach Road Residents Group and is particularly interested in local change, supporting isolated and disadvantaged groups and encouraging community cohesion and participation.
