Cllr Anne-Marie Dooley
West Ward co-opted October 2019
Dear Residents of Baildon,
I am Anne-Marie. I moved to this beautiful village five years ago and found this a wonderful place to settle down in and raise my son. I love the extremely strong sense of community this village has, how well events are organised and how it brings so many people together. When I found out that Baildon had a Town Council, I was very impressed and was always interested in how it worked and how it served its area. When a vacancy arose, I jumped at the chance to apply to be a councillor and here I am. Having taught at mainly secondary schools and some primaries for the last 15 years, I have seen the effects that funding and decisions have had on children and I would like to improve on the services that Baildon has to offer for children, teenagers and young adults. In addition, I would like to build on the already fantastic work that is being done to raise the profile of Baildon nationally and internationally. One example of this was the Land Art at the 2019 UCI Road World Championships, Women's Elite Race. I will do my utmost to serve the people of Baildon and change their quality of life for the better.
